Here are the Academy Award nominations for 2015. Plenty of interesting choices and (as always) many bizarre exclusions, including the absence of critical hits Nightcrawler and the Swedish film Force Majeure. While Selma received a Best Picture and Song nom, it garnered no acting or crew nods. And The Lego Movie failed to appear in the Best Animated Film list. Interestingly, there were only 8 Best Picture nominees (instead of the usual 9) as well.
On a positive note, at least quirky effort The Grand Budapest Hotel received plenty of love from the Academy. Below is the complete list.
