With the big day approaching, it’s time to take an in-depth look at all the nominees… for a completely different set of awards.
These are for the Golden Raspberrys, which celebrates the… well… worst that Hollywood has sent our way over the past 12 months. Usually, the winners are announced the day before the Oscars. However, because the Academy Awards are so early this year, thing are being done differently this time around.
The event is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year (for those who don’t remember, Can’t Stop the Music was the first Worst Picture winner, beating out the likes of Cruising, The Jazz Singer, The Nude Bomb, Raise the Titanic, Saturn 3 and Xanadu).
Three films landed a whopping 8 nominations this year, although Cats seems like the definite front runner.
I could have probably added a couple of flicks to the list, but here are the ones that ended up making the final ballot. The lucky winners will be announced in March!
