He\u2019s the man that gave us the original version <em>Let the Right One In<\/em> (a modern horror classic) and <em>Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy<\/em> (a dense espionage thriller) so, good pedigree. He\u2019s is not, however, very good at the advertisement of films. <em>The Snowman, <\/em>his latest, is a bizarre mess of movie. Disjointed and confusing. Now, <strong>even prior to its U.S. release, <\/strong>he\u2019s out telling everyone why.<\/p>\n<p>His words via a recent interview with Collider:<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cIt happened very abruptly,\u201d he said. \u201cSuddenly we got notice that we had the money and could start the shoot in London.. Our shoot time in Norway was way too short. We didn\u2019t get the whole story with us and when we started cutting we discovered that a lot was missing\u2026 It\u2019s like when you\u2019re making a big jigsaw puzzle and a few pieces are missing so you don\u2019t see the whole picture.\u201d<\/em><br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.cinemastance.com\/?attachment_id=15161\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-15161\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-15161\" src=\"http:\/\/www.cinemastance.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/a2-300x165.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"165\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nSo\u2026 here you have a whodunit\/cop\/mystery\/thriller in the vein of <em>The Silence of the Lambs <\/em>and <em>The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo<\/em> and there are chunks missing. LOLOLOLOL A style of movie that is completely reliant on \u201cputting the pieces together.\u201d The film is <strong>missing around 15% of the<\/strong> <strong>story<\/strong>, according to the report, and it is more than evident. So, in honor of this major motion picture meltdown that is <em>The Snowman<\/em> Fiasco, <strong>I will omit 15% of all words from the remainder of the review<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cinemastance.com\/?attachment_id=15159\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-15159\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-15159\" src=\"http:\/\/www.cinemastance.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/a1-2.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"809\" height=\"546\" \/><\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cinemastance.com\/?attachment_id=15162\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-15162\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-15162\" src=\"http:\/\/www.cinemastance.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/a3-1-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Tomas Alfredson is a good director of films.
