Welcome to another look at highlights arriving on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and DVD. This is a very busy edition, with plenty of major releases in all genres. So, if you can\u2019t make it out to the movies this week, be sure to give one of these titles a try!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

BIG NEW RELEASES!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

CHAO \u2013 This animater feature from Japan is set in a world where humans and mermaids coexist, although with some tension between them. A worker at a seaside shipbuilding company encounters an attractive water-dweller with a charming personality. She proposes marriage and they attempt to get to know each other better over a relatively short period, as well as figure out how to live together. In the process, deeper motivations for their acts are exposed. Critics appeared to enjoy this effort. A handful didn\u2019t care for the visual design, commented that the film veers from romance to wacky comedy to drama and ultimately fails to find its footing tonally. But the majority believed the picture had an interesting and unique look, and found it to be sweet if slight, with amusing moments when presenting unusual and entertaining situations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

EDEN\u2019S CHOICE \u2013 A 13-year-old girl from a poor, abusive household is dealt another major life problem after discovering that she is pregnant. Her furious parents insist she see a doctor to take care of the issue, but after befriending a priest and talking to others within the religious community, decides to take a different path. Apparently, the film then jumps ahead to show her life ten years after her big decision. If you haven\u2019t already guessed, this is a faith-based film trying to convince viewers to see its point-of-view on abortion. It hasn\u2019t been shown to the press, only recently debuting on the internet and streaming sites. Now, it is arriving on disc. There aren\u2019t even any online write-ups for the picture, so interested parties will simply have to go in cold. It features Kevin Sorbo, Sophia Shannon and Abby Johnson.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

EVIL DEAD BURN \u2013 This new entry in the long-running horror franchise begins with a young woman having a heated argument with his husband. He dies soon afterwards in a car accident. The protagonist visits her in-laws in the country to attend his funeral, and finds most of them less-than-friendly. After stopping in at their farmhouse, it is revealed that the deceased family patriarch had been doing research on the Necronomicon. Family members become possessed, and the widow must fight her way to safety. More members of the press liked the movie than disliked it. Almost one-third criticized this chapter for hitting audiences over the head with its message, and lacking the dark humor of previous entries that added some fun to proceedings. But the majority found the movie well-produced, featuring an effective combo of practical and digital effects which delivered a few memorable shocks. The movie can be picked up as a 4K Ultra HD only release, a standalone Blu-ray, and a 4K Ultra HD only 2-Film Collection with Evil Dead Rise. It stars Souheila Yacoub, Tandi Wright, Hunter Doohan, Luciane Buchanan, Errol Shand and Maude Davey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

FACES OF DEATH \u2013 The original Faces of Death<\/em> feature was a shocking, shot-on-video effort containing nasty footage of real people suffering gruesome deaths (it is largely believed that the bits were actually staged). This remake uses the title and tells a narrative about a video platform supervisor who sees footage of a brutal slaying online and wonders if it might be authentic. After raising concerns, she is kidnapped by the creator of the videos and must deal with the psychopath before he murders her. Almost one-third complained that while the concept might have worked 30 years ago, it felt blunt and flat here, stating that the story ended up following cliched slasher movie tropes. Regardless, more commented that the feature was a creepy and effective chiller, criticizing the dehumanizing effects of social media and delivering shocks in the process. The cast includes Barbie Ferreira, Dacre Montgomery, Josie Totah, and Aaron Holliday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

GAIL DAUGHTRY AND THE CELEBRITY SEX PASS \u2013 An engaged couple in the Midwest joke about celebrities whom they might be allowed to sleep with if they were ever given the opportunity. When the boyfriend actually takes advantage of the silly agreement, his distraught fiancee decides to go to Hollywood and convince her screen crush to do the same with her. She teams up with all sorts of eccentric personalities as she attempts to complete her mission and sleep with actor Jon Hamm. This comedy from writer\/director David Wain (Wet Hot American Summer, Role Models, Wanderlust<\/em>) wasn\u2019t a box office smash, but was well-reviewed by critics. Roughly one-fifth of notices called the feature ridiculous (in a bad way), dim-witted and unfunny, lacking the kind of comedic edge they were hoping for. Still, everyone else did find it to be a good-natured hoot, with a likable crew of characters taking part in a never-ending barrage of outrageous and amusing gags. Zoey Deutch, John Slattery, Ken Marino, Miles Gutierrez-Riley, Ben Wang, Sabrina Impacciatore, Joe La Truglio and many more headline the film. GIRLS LIKE GIRLS \u2013 Based in part around the 2015 hit song and the 2023 book by Hayley Kiyoko (who also co-wrote and directed this feature), this is an independent coming-of-age romance\/drama. A teenage girl moves to remote Oregon to live with her estranged father, and ends up connecting with a small group of friends. She becomes particularly close to one member who has an abusive boyfriend. The two begin to develop romantic feelings for each other, but aren\u2019t sure if they should act on their impulses. This picture received mostly positive write-ups. A small number complained that the filmmaker had learned their craft from music videos, and as a result the drama felt overplayed and silly. But the majority called the movie a strong, sweet tale that effectively depicted the insecurities of young people finding themselves and what they want out of life. It stars Maya da Costa, Myra Molloy, Levon Hawke and Zach Braff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

I LOVE BOOSTERS \u2013 A small and very unique gang out of San Francisco spend their time shoplifting expensive clothing items and reselling them to locals at lower, more affordable rates. This, of course, irritates wealthy citizens to no end. One of the thieves plots a major heist of items from a notable fashion designer. The lead actually meets the figure and finds herself being tempted and corrupted by the individual, while others try to actualize her plan. Response to this surreal comedy was very upbeat. One or two voices complained that the story became too outrageous as it progressed, lessening any sense of tension or excitement. But all others thought this was a wildly entertaining critique of capitalism\/materialism and the fashion industry. They noted it included entertaining performances and impressively eye-popping visuals. You can purchase the movie as a 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray combo. The cast includes Kiki Palmer, Taylour Paige, Naomi Ackie, LaKeith Stanfield, Madhi Cocci, Rachel Waters, Demi Moore, Adam Devine, Don Cheadle and many more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

MY ONLY FRIEND\u2019S A CORPSE \u2013 This independent, low-budget comedy\/horror picture follows a young punk and runaway who decides to take shelter in a dumpster. He finds a corpse among the garbage, which suddenly comes to life right before his eyes. The two become pals and the lead becomes convinced that God is an evil figure, causing only pain and suffering on humanity. He and the corpse decide to head out on a road trip to assassinate the deity, traveling through an underworld filled with monsters and demons along the way. So far, only a few online reviewers have seen this picture, but they have complimented it. Most note that the movie is short and that the concept isn\u2019t for everyone, but that the performances are strong, the characters unique, and that it provides genre fans with several gruesome laughs. It features Sam Christensen, Brayden J Copp, Jayce Lamb and Auryona Webb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

NEXT TO NORMAL \u2013 Anyone who appreciates stage musicals can pick up this recording (taken at The West End in London, England) of the well-regarded Off-Broadway show. For those unfamiliar with the title, it\u2019s a musical about a suburban wife and mother who is suffering from bipolar disorder. The play begins with the lead\u2019s teenage son arriving home very late after a night out, which sets the mom off and causes erratic behavior. As the condition worsens, we see how her behavior impacts the life of both the lead character and her family members. Apparently, the story also contains several rock numbers as part of the story. This particular production garnered excellent notices and is now available as a DVD-only release. Caissie Levy, Jamie Parker, Jack Wolfe, Eleanor Worthington-Cox, Trevor Dion-Nichols and Jack Ofrecio headline the title.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

NOUVELLE VAGUE \u2013 The latest from acclaimed writer\/director Richard Linklater (Dazed and Confused, Before Sunrise, School of Rock, A Scanner Darkly, Bernie, Boyhood, Blue Moon<\/em>) is a comedy about the making of the famous 1960 French new wave film, Breathless<\/em>. Shot and performed in the same manner as the actual classic, viewers see director Jean-Luc Godard struggle to get his vision onscreen, while also examining the various unusual relationships between the cast and crew. The majority of press members who saw the picture raved about it. One or two didn\u2019t think that there was much here to appeal to anyone unfamiliar with Godard and his work. However, everyone else called the movie a fun and fantastic recreation of the era, brilliantly capturing the creative difficulties faced by the director in making one of his most famous works. The picture is arriving as a 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray combo, and a standalone Blu-ray from Criterion. Guillaume Marbeck, Zoey Deutch, Aubry Dullin, Adrien Rouyard, Antoine Besson and Jodie Ruth-Forest headline the film.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

ONE LAST SHOT \u2013 A group of mercenaries arrive in Washington, DC and immediately break into the U.S. missile defense network. They take numerous government officials and hold them hostage, threatening to set off a global catastrophe. A Navy SEAL who once served with the leader of the terrorist group is contacted. He sets out to free the hostages, seize control of the area, and return it back to safe hands. This is another of the many low-budget made-for-streaming-and-disc action pictures. No major outlets have seen the movie, nor have any online movie bloggers. So, those wanting to know more will just have to hope the movie delivers some exciting battles. This title will also be available on DVD. The cast includes Scott Adkins, Steven Cree, Hannah Ware, Dolph Lundgren, Neil Linpow, Ray Fearon, Tom Dunne and Kane Kosugi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

SCARY MOVIE \u2013 Named after the original film in the franchise from 2000 (which has now spawned five sequels), this horror movie parody returns most of the original cast in a new story. When the killer from the original returns after more than two decades, the survivors reunite. Viewers see all of the silliness they have gotten into over the last quarter-century. You\u2019ll also see them get into a variety of troublesome scenarios with more than a passing resemblance to horror movies of the past decade. The movie did well this summer at the box office, but didn\u2019t earn excellent critical reviews. About one-quarter commented that it was fun to see the old cast together again, and that the picture does earn laughs poking fun at all the latest genre flicks. But the majority stated that, despite this effort arriving more than a decade after the previous installment, it felt surprisingly stale and overly familiar, lacking the laughs required to recommend it. You can pick up the movie either as a standalone 4K Ultra HD disc or a Blu-ray only release. It stars Marlon Wayans, Shawn Wayans, Anna Faris, Regina Hall, Kenan Thompson, Dave Sheridan, Lochlyn Munro, Kim Wayans, Cheri Oteri, Chris Elliott and Damon Wayans Jr..<\/p>\n\n\n\n

THE SECRET AGENT \u2013 In 1977, as Brazil struggles under a military dictatorship, a wanted researcher with leftist political connections secretly travels to visit his in-laws and son. He is put up at a refuge, and gets a new identity and job, but finds trouble when a protest movement in his town attracts the attention of threatening government officials. This Portuguese-language, multinational production earned accolades during its theatrical run, and earned Academy Award nominations for Best Picture, Best International Film, Best Casting and Best Actor. One or two voices commented that they had difficulty following the plot and that North American audiences wouldn\u2019t find its story accessible. All others were wowed, noting that while this was a long movie, it is consistently tense and unsettling, the acting is brilliant, and the story features numerous unpredictable twists and turns. It is available as a 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray combo or a Blu-ray only release from Criterion. The movie features Wagner Moura, Gabriel Leone, Tania Maria, Carlos Francisco and Udo Kier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

TOY STORY 5 \u2013 The fifth chapter in the long-running animated series from Disney\/Pixar catches up with most of the toys from previous chapters. It seems the majority happily reside with a new young owner. However, things change when the little girl is given a tablet. Addicted to the electronic device, toy Jessie sets out to contact Woody and reunite all the playthings, hoping to help pull the child away from her screen and free her creativity and imagination. The movie was a summer box office smash, and the majority of critics also admired it. A handful didn\u2019t think the film was necessary and complained that it repeated the same gags and scenarios, only to lesser effect this time out. All others noted that, while it wasn\u2019t the best entry, the animation was still stellar, the script offered plenty of laughs, as well as dealing with important issues involving technology in children\u2019s lives. The movie is available as a 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray Steelbook, and a Blu-ray only release. The voice cast includes Joan Cusack, Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, Greta Lee, Conan O\u2019Brien, Scarlett Spears, Craig Robinson, Annie Potts, Keanu Reeves, Bonnie Hunt, Kristen Schaal, Tony Hale, Wallace Shaw and many more. YOUNG WASHINGTON \u2013 Faith-based movie studio Angel Films produced this historical biopic about the early life of first US President George Washington in the 1750s. Before being elected to the highest office in the country, we see him fighting in the French and Indian War as a member of the Virginia Militia, watch him be promoted, and eventually lead a troop to fight the French. Over one major battle he manages to evade death, leading many to believe he is protected by divine powers. The press was split on this effort, although slightly more than half did give the movie a recommendation. Those who disliked the picture stated that it was slickly-produced, but emphasized myth over reality. They noted the characters lacked detail and nuance, there was a heaping of heavy melodrama, and that it all came across as corny. Still, slightly more thought that the movie was an effective, old-fashioned war movie that had excellent performances and effective battle scenes that would appeal to history buffs. William Franklyn-Miller, Ben Kingsley, Andy Serkis, Joel Smallbone, Kelsey Grammer and Mary-Louise Parker headline the movie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

BLASTS FROM THE PAST!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

If you\u2019re looking for something older, you also have plenty of options. 88 Films is releasing The Haunted Cop Shop<\/em> (1987) on Blu-ray. It\u2019s a horror\/comedy about a Hong Kong police precinct that was once used by Japanese soldiers during World War II. The cops there begin being haunted by the spirits of the occupiers who killed themselves on the property at the end of the conflict. This disc contains a 2K image restoration from the original camera negative, a film historian commentary, a movie expert interview discussing the movie, alternate and extended scenes, an image gallery and trailers. The packaging includes a reversible sleeve.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alpha Video is a distributor that specializes in putting out public domain titles out on DVD. This week, you can purchase a Pre-Code Double Feature<\/em> DVD containing Playthings of Desire<\/em> (1933) and Before Morning<\/em> (1933), as well as a Pre-Code Double Feature<\/em> with Ladies in Love<\/em> (1930) and Forgotten Women<\/em> (1931). These pre-code titles often featured a more adult tone with more realistic elements than films of the following couple of decades.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cartuna is presenting a \u201cStandard Special Edition\u201d Blu-ray of the cult comedy Hundreds of Beavers<\/em> (2022). The film has been released before, and this version looks to have identical features without the special packaging of the previous edition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The animated feature Suzume<\/em> (2022) is another title that has come out before, but is now being given a 4K Ultra HD Steelbook release from Crunchyroll, LLC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Kriminal<\/em> (1966) is an Italian\/Spanish comic book adaptation that is coming out as a 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray combo (as well as a standalone Blu-ray) from Cult Epics. This effort was directed by Umberto Lenzi and stars Glenn Saxson as the title character, a thief and killer being hunted by the police. You\u2019ll get a 4K restoration of the original camera negative, both the English and Italian audio tracks for the movie, a film expert commentary, a feature-length documentary on Lenzi, cast and crew interviews, Italian credits, trailers and a promotional gallery. It also comes in a reversible sleeve with original Italian poster art.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Deaf Crocodile Films is delivering Hoffmaniada<\/em> (2018) as a \u201cStandard Edition\u201d Blu-ray. Deaf Crocodile Films. It\u2019s a Russian stop-motion animated title which adapts tales from Gothic fantasy author E.T.A. Hoffman (The Nutcracker and the Mouse King, The Sandman<\/em>). Extras include a behind-the-scenes look at the production, a video essay on the picture, a movie historian commentary, a conversation about the picture, a short from the director, as well as trailers and more. This version doesn\u2019t contain a book included with the \u201cSpecial Edition\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Toomorrow<\/em> (1970) is also arriving as a \u201cStandard Edition\u201d Blu-ray. This is a wild and crazy British sci-fi\/musical about an alien who enjoys the music of a new rock band in England, and eventually takes them to his home planet to perform a show. A young Olivia Newton-John stars in this picture, which was directed by Val Guest (The Quatermass Xperiment, The Day the Earth Caught Fire, Casino Royale<\/em>). This Blu-ray marks the film\u2019s first ever release in North America, and comes with a film historian commentary, an archival interview with Guest, a World War II short about preventing the spread of germs that came from the director, an experimental film made on the same location as this title, and two video essays about the movie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Angel\u2019s Egg<\/em> (1985) is a Japanese animated film that is receiving a 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray combo from GKIDS, which will only be available as an exclusive through the distributor\u2019s official site. It involves a little girl who finds a mysterious egg and decides to protect it. This release features a movie historian commentary, a discussion about the title with an anime expert, a critical analysis of the movie, a conversation with the director and a trailer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s a busy week for Kino Lorber. While they released it some years ago on Blu-ray, you can now purchase a Blazing Magnum<\/em> (1976) aka Shadows in an Empty Room<\/em> on the same format with a new 4K picture restoration. It\u2019s a wild and crazy Italian crime picture that was shot in Canada (specifically around Ottawa and Montreal) featuring some jaw-dropping car chases and stunts. The cast includes Stuart Whitman, John Saxon, Martin Landau and Tisa Farrow. Both the American and European cuts of the film have been given the new picture upgrades, and arrive with a film historian commentary, an archival interview with the director, a talk about the film with critic Kim Newman, and a trailer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The cult 3D picture The Bubble<\/em> (1966) has been out-of-print, but is now getting a spiffy new upgrade. The roadshow edition (which is 20 minutes longer than any previous version) is arriving as a 3D Blu-ray (presented in both stereoscopic and anaglyph 3D), and a standard Blu-ray presentation. The plot details a couple who end up in a remote town filled with strange locals. They soon believe they are trapped there within an invisible dome and must find a way out to freedom. It comes with a commentary track, an alternate opening, 3D demonstration footage, a radio play of the story, and trailers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

The Adam Sandler\/Damon Wayans action\/comedy Bulletproof<\/em> (1996) is arriving as a 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray combo and a standalone Blu-ray. The pair play two friends in the drug world. Their friendship is tested when one learns that the other is actually an undercover agent. The film has been given a 4K restoration from the original camera negative and is presented in Dolby Vision. There is a new commentary with director Ernest Dickerson (Juice, Tales from the Crypt Presents: Demon Knight<\/em>), as well as a film historian commentary. Additionally, you\u2019ll get an interview with co-star Xander Berkeley, deleted scenes and a trailer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Counsellor<\/em> (1973), an Italian crime-picture set in San Francisco with Tomas Millan and Martin Balsam, is coming to Blu-ray with a new 4K picture restoration. The original camera negative was given a 4K scan for this release, and the disc contains a film historian commentary, a video essay, and a trailer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Actually, Kino is putting together the two previous Italian pictures mentioned above in a three-title 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray box set. It\u2019s called the Italio-Crime Collection \u2013 The Counsellor<\/em> (1973), Blazing Magnum<\/em> (1976) and Weapons of Death<\/em> (1977). The set features 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray discs of the two titles noted, along with Weapons of Death<\/em>, which looks to be exclusive to this set and not available as a separate release. The latter stars Henry Silva and Leonard Mann in a battle between cop and drug kingpin. Like the others, the third title film has also been given a 4K restoration from the original camera negative, as well as a film historian track, cast and crew interviews and a video essay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

And the distributor also is releasing a 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray combo of the neo-noir tough-guy crime picture, Johnny Handsome<\/em> (1989). Directed by Walter Hill (The Warriors, Southern Comfort, 48 Hrs., Streets of Fire, Red Heat, Trespass, Last Man Standing, Undisputed<\/em>), this effective feature stars Mickey Rourke. He plays a disfigured and kindhearted goon in a criminal outfit who is left for dead by his accomplices. He receives a new face courtesy of advancements in plastic surgery, but must then grapple with whether to seek revenge or try to start a new life. The movie also features Ellen Barkin, Lance Henriksen, Elizabeth McGovern, Forest Whitaker and Morgan Freeman. The film has been given a new 4K restoration from the original camera negative and is presented in Dolby Vision. It comes with two recently recorded film expert commentary tracks, a 44-minute interview with director Hill, a discussion with the screenwriter, a talk with the make-up artist, a stuntman interview and a trailer. A Blu-ray only version is also available.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A while back, Paramount Pictures released a 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray Steelbook of Tim Burton\u2019s excellent Sleepy Hollow<\/em> (1999), and it sold out quickly. Now, they\u2019re reissuing it, so those who missed it the first time around can purchase it. Specs and bonus features will be exactly the same as in the previous Steelbook edition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, they\u2019re putting a Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street<\/em> (2007) 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray \u201cLimited Edition\u201d Steelbook on the shelves. This marks another Tim Burton title in which he collaborates with Johnny Depp. The discs will be exactly the same as the previous 4K\/Blu-ray release from 2024, only in special packaging.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Les Acteurs<\/em> (2000) is a surreal comedy with an all-star cast (including Jean-Paul Belmondo, Alain Delon, Gerard Depardieu, Maria Schneider and many others) arriving on Blu-ray from Powerhouse Films. The cast all play exaggerated versions of themselves and get into huge trouble while participating in a feature based on themselves. The 4K picture restoration is also from the original camera negative, and the disc contains a video essay, a trailer, an image gallery and promotional materials, along with a booklet with writing on the feature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The French drama Crime Thief<\/em> (1969) is also coming on Blu-ray from the distributor. The plot involves a man who witnesses the suicide of a woman, only to claim that he murdered her and slowly suffer a psychological breakdown. This disc features a 4K restoration of the movie from the original camera negative, a discussion of the movie\u2019s director and career, a look back at the inspiration for the film, a discussion with the screenwriter, as well as promo materials and a booklet with an essay on the feature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When he investigates what happened, the case moves in an unexpected direction. This release also boasts a 4K picture restoration from the original camera negative, a French television program presenting interviews with the director and cast, an image gallery and a booklet with writing on the picture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Japanese horror feature Bakemono<\/em> (2023) is arriving on Blu-ray from Unearthed Films. It\u2019s about a nasty monster attacking guests at an Airbnb. Apparently, the movie emphasizes old make-up and moviemaking techniques in order to create suspense and gooey terror. Specs are listed as featurettes detailing the practical effects, the meaning behind the movie, the production, as well as reactions to the film. There is also a discussion with the filmmaker recorded at a German movie festival.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Universal Studios is delivering some early productions on Blu-ray. You can purchase Rhythm on the Range<\/em> (1936), Rhythm on the River<\/em> (1940), Thunder Bay<\/em> (1953) and Waikiki Wedding<\/em> (1937). Don\u2019t expect much in the way of extras, but at least you\u2019ll be able to purchase hard copies of these titles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Ginger Rogers\/Ray Milland\/Barbara Eden\/Elliott Gould comedy Quick, Let\u2019s Get Married<\/em> (1964) is getting a Blu-ray and DVD combo from VCI. The plot follows a thief who falls in love while trying to pull a heist in Italy. The disc contains a film historian commentary, and a poster and photo gallery featuring the cast members listed above.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Warner Archive is delivering Blu-rays of catalog titles Boys Town<\/em> (1938), Bundle of Joy<\/em> (1956), College Swing<\/em> (1938), Dear Heart<\/em> (1964), The Great Waltz<\/em> (1938), The Lost Patrol<\/em> (1934) and Skyscraper Souls<\/em> (1932).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And Warner Bros. proper is releasing the hit Anne Rice adaptation of Interview with the Vampire<\/em> (1994) as a \u201cLimited Edition\u201d 4K Ultra HD only Steelbook, as well as a regular 4K Ultra HD only disc. Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt, Antonio Banderas, Stephen Rea, Christian Slater, Kirsten Dunst and Thandiwe Newton star in this tale of a vampire who relates his bloody 200-plus year history to a young reporter. This release contains a 4K restoration of the film presented in Dolby Vision, new featurettes on the movie, an archival commentary with director Neil Jordan (The Company of Wolves, The Crying Game, Michael Collins, Ondine, Byzantium, Greta<\/em>), an introduction to the film with Jordan, Banderas and Anne Rice, a documentary on the feature, a look at the Lestat phenomenon, deleted scenes and a trailer.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n
