Starting October 1st, Warner Bros. will launch the “Pink Ribbon” Video-On-Demand campaign with proceeds going to help the fight against breast cancer. This is a major charity campaign that partners the Digital Distribution division of Warner’s with major cable and satellite operators that includes Comcast, Time Warner Cable, Cox, Cablevision, Charter, AT&T, Verizon FiOS , DIRECTV and DISH Network.
Every time a film is rented from the “Pink Ribbon” channel during the month of October, a donation will be made to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure, a foundation that has invested nearly $1.5 billion since inception in 1982.
The list of films to purchase are of the Romantic/Romantic Comedy variety and Include:

- Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood
- Fool’s Gold
- In Love and War
- In the Land of Women
- Miss Congeniality 2: Armed and Dangerous
- Music and Lyrics
- Must Love Dogs

There. And I went the whole post without saying anything like “movies to save boobies” or anything like that. It was hard, but I did it.
I’ll say it!! SAVE THE BOOBIES!!! As someone currently going thru chemo for Breast Cancer I think I’m allowed too! lol
I also want to encourage women to start self exams as early as possible and see your Doctor for yearly exams! Don’t wait til the medical profession says to get a mammogram (age 40). I was diagnosed at 37. I didn’t do self exams and had not had a mammogram yet. I found my lump (luckily very large) by chance. It seemed to appear from one day to the next! Its my opinion that if I had not found the lump myself and didn’t have regular exams by my Doctor, I probably wouldn’t be alive at age 40 for that mammogram!
